Writing poetry has always been how I process emotions and make sense of my world.
behind the writing
I don’t always feel the need to write about something deep or profound. I might write about something I have experienced, something that amused me or just some small mundane moment in time. I find it really comforting writing poems that rhyme and have a natural rhythm.
Somewhere along the way, someone sang one of my poems.
That changed everything.
Hearing my words sung sparked something in me. So every now and then, instead of stanzas, I find myself writing verses, choruses and bridges. A few of them have even been made into songs.
