Tears fall at night
Written in 1996
Daylight fades, nighttime is falling
The smile fades, sadness is calling
So many feelings, a flood of tears
Someone to talk to, my greatest fear
But how can I talk, when I’m not really sure
Of why I am thinking or feeling this for?
Living day by day, only to find
I’ll never know when, happiness will shine
Who is to know why, tears fall in the night
The flame of sadness, burning so bright
But as dawn approaches, the flame disappears
Another new day, hiding those tears
As long as I look happy, they will ignore
The fact that I’m not, so I’ve closed the door
The door to inside me, which I can no longer open
Locked forever, causes only frustration
For he tries to unlock, but to no avail
I try letting him in, but always fail
Who will know when, this will subside
So until then, my hurt continues to hide
Daylight fades, nighttime is falling
The smile fades, sadness is calling
